TULSA, Oklahoma -

The Metropolitan Environmental Trust (M.e.t.) said Tuesday it has temporarily suspended the collection of electronic waste materials, as the equipment it needs for that was stolen.

The M.e.t. said the 8.5-foot-by-20-foot electronic waste trailer was stolen from the recycling center at 34th Street and Sheridan.

The recycling company uses the trailer to collect unwanted electronic equipment like cameras, computers, small appliances and some batteries. Since the trailer is missing, The M.e.t. says it cannot accept those materials until the trailer is found or replaced.

"Our hope is to spread the word of this theft," explains the M.e.t.'s Executive Director, Michael Patton. "It would be great if our customers could keep an eye out for this trailer."

If you have information about the theft, you are asked to call the police.
