Man Arrested In Texas, Charged In Murder Of Woman Found At Lake Overholser

A man is arrested in Texas in connection with the death of a missing woman whose body was found at Lake Overholser.

Oklahoma County prosecutors confirm that Juan Carlos Garcia, 29, was arrested in Webb County, Texas. Garcia faces murder charges in Oklahoma in the death of 22-year-old Karen Natalia Cid-DeLeon of Oklahoma City.

A crew of volunteers was picking up trash April 20 in the 6900 block of N. Morgan Road when they discovered Cid-DeLeon's body. The woman's mother had reported her missing April 6.

Texas authorities are in the process of filing extradition paperwork to bring Garcia back to Oklahoma to face charges for the murder of Cid-DeLeon. Lead prosecutor Scott Rowland says Garcia is fighting extradition.
