One of Bob Wills' Texas Playboys has died. Hall of Fame fiddler Curly Lewis passed away Sunday night after a battle with lung cancer.

He was 88 years old.

Lewis was a legend of western swing. He has received a number of awards over his long career, including a star on the Cain's Ballroom Walk of Fame.

And, just this past February, Lewis was inducted in the National Fiddler's Hall of Fame.

A public memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Cain's Ballroom.
