Friday night's game in Tulsa between the Shock and Connecticut Sun won't be going down on the list of best basketball games ever played, but the Shock will take a win any way it can get one.

Tulsa shot just 33 percent from the floor, but held Connecticut to 29.2 percent shooting in a grinding, 64-58 win at the BOK Center.

With the win, Tulsa has now won two straight games after snapping a six-game losing streak Wednesday at Seattle.

Thanks to the woeful shooting of the Sun, Tulsa was able to dominate the boards, racking up 62 total rebounds including 25 on the offensive glass alone. Glory Johnson and Liz Cambage each grabbed 17 rebounds, with Cambage also grabbing 10 offensive rebounds.

Johnson led the Shock with 14 points, while Cambage had 13 points. Riquana Williams and Candace Wiggins each chipped in with 10 points each.

Allison Hightower had 14 points to lead the Sun, while Kelsey Griffin had 10 points. Tina Charles had 12 rebounds to lead Connecticut.

In addition to shooting poorly from the floor, the two teams also struggled to hold on to the ball, as Tulsa had 24 turnovers to 15 for the Sun. The two teams combined for just 17 assists.

The whole game was a back and forth affair, consisting of 13 lead changes and seven ties. Connecticut held a slight 28-27 lead at halftime and throughout the entire third quarter.

After tying the score on a couple of occasions, the Shock finally took the lead on a Cambage layup with 5:30 to play, and then took the lead for good on a Nicole Powell 3-point with 4:24 to play that gave Tulsa a 55-52 lead.

Tulsa point guard Skylar Diggins missed her second straight game with a sprained ankle. Former Tahlequah and Kansas star Angel Goodrich got the start and received a rousing ovation during pregame introductions.
