Omaha Knocks Off RedHawks With Walk-Off Win In 12 Innings

OMAHA, Nebraska -

Max Ramirez lifted a sacrifice fly to right field in the bottom of the 12th inning that scored Irving Falu to give Omaha a walk-off, 2-1 win over the Oklahoma City RedHawks Thursday night.

The loss spoiled a stellar performance from Oklahoma City starting pitcher Jake Buchanan, who scattered eight hits over seven innings. After giving up a home run to Christian Colon in the bottom of the first inning, Buchanan shut the Storm Chasers down before being lifted after the seventh inning.

The RedHawks lone run came on a solo home run from Jimmy Paredes in the top of the fifth inning.

Omaha pitching combined to limit the RedHawks to just six hits over 12 innings, striking out 12 batters in the process. Buddy Baumann picked up the win, striking out the side in the 12th inning. OKC reliever Jason Stoffel suffered his first loss of the season for the RedHawks.

Oklahoma City returns home Friday night to begin a 12-game homestand by taking on Iowa in the first game of a four-game series. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
