OKLAHOMA CITY -

A fiery crash near Penn Square Mall early Friday morning shut down parts of a busy highway and sent two people to the hospital.

The accident happened around 4 a.m. near the Northwest Expressway exit ramp off Interstate 44 west between Penn and Western avenues.

Firefighters say another vehicle swerved and cut the semi off causing it to rollover, catch fire and explode.

The two people in the truck were rushed to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Parts of the interstate have been closed all morning while crews work to remove debris from the interstate.
