NORMAN, Oklahoma -

A big surprise brings the crowd to its feet at the Norman High game against Moore. This is one they'll remember forever and it has nothing to do with football, but everything to do with one of Norman's star players.

Norman High School football player Josh Farley was on the field preparing for the big game against Moore High School. The NHS varsity football captain had no idea he was about to get a big surprise before Friday night's coin toss.

Meanwhile his dad, Air Force Capt. Jeff Farley tried to stay in character as the school mascot before the big moment.

Josh, number 51, did the traditional walk down the 50 yard line, but what he didn't know is that he was holding hands with his father.

During the big reveal, his other son and daughter John and Makayla rushed on the field to embrace their dad as well.

"He's my idol. I look up to him, said Josh. "I wanna just go spend time with him."

"I'm just glad to be home. I'm thankful, blessed to have a family here with me," said Jeff.
