Houston Company Acquires Tulsa Honda Dealership

A Texas automotive group has purchased Joe Marina Honda in Tulsa.  The dealership located at 9124 South Memorial will operate as South Pointe Honda. 

"We are delighted to further our relationship with Honda and to expand our existing footprint in the Tulsa market," said Earl J. Hesterberg, Group 1's president and chief executive officer. 

Group 1 owns 140 automotive dealerships, 179 franchises and 35 collision centers across the US.

In Tulsa, Group 1 owns BMW of Tulsa and South Pointe's Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Chevrolet dealerships in Tulsa. 

In Oklahoma City, the automotive group owns Smicklas Chevrolet and Bob Howard's Ram, Nissan, Chevrolet, Toyota, Scion, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Buick, GMC and Hyundai dealerships. 

In a news release, Group 1 says its newest Tulsa dealership is expected to generate $60 million in estimated annual revenues.
