OKLAHOMA CITY -

An elderly Oklahoma City couple is heartbroken after they say burglars stole tens of thousands of dollars from them while they were at church a month ago.

Orville and Linda Blevins say someone broke down their front door, ignored televisions and a computer, and headed straight for Linda's jewelry box.

The Blevins say that box contained more than $40,000 in jewelry and unique family heirlooms. They say police have suggested the culprits may be thieves who know their daily patterns.

"Sometimes people's lives are so messed up, I don't know how to help them," Linda said Saturday.  "We will just have to pray for them," said Orville.
