There's once again controversy surrounding the end-of-year tests in the sooner state.

This year, State Superintendent Janet Barresi changed the minimum required score, or cut score, on the state's biology test, months after the tests were taken.

Tulsa Public Schools tells us 1,500 students, who thought they passed and were already enrolled in this year's classes, now have a failing score.

Superintendent Keith Ballard came on Six In The Morning Wednesday and told us what he thought of the move.

"I'm not happy, at all, about it. If you want to change a cut score, tell them way in advance, as they're preparing for it. It caught everyone by surprise and it's a completely different cut score of what the other disciplines are. And this is high stakes. It's high stakes, because this has to do with whether or not they will graduate," Ballard said.

Oklahoma Students have to pass four of seven end-of-year tests in different courses.
