GUTHRIE, Oklahoma -

Court documents released Tuesday revealed new details in a Guthrie murder. Timothy Slawson was charged with first degree murder and manslaughter for the shooting deaths of a woman and her unborn child.

Slawson told Guthrie Police detectives his craving to kill had been building for years. He admitted he has killed kittens, a mother cat and a dog because he wanted to watch them die.

Investigators said that desire escalated and he took his violence out on Mindy Carder, who he had hired as a prostitute October 10, 2013.

Slawson told detectives he decided to kill a prostitute earlier that day and found one online. Carder met him at a vacant house around the corner from where he lives.

According to court documents, Slawson wanted to stab Carder, but she brought two friends with her so he went back home and returned with a gun.

The affidavit said Lawson shot Carder in the doorway of the vacant house and one of her friends took off in a car. Lawson shot at the car, but the driver got away.

Police said Lawson heard glass breaking in the house and he figured the other friend ran away, too, but she hid in a closet until she could escape.

Carder stumbled out to the road and Lawson went to her to perform CPR, but court records said he did not know how.

Police said once Carder died, Slawson had sex with her corpse, but "only for a short time, because she was dead and it just wasn't right." They said Slawson then drove to a dead end road and dumped the body.

"It's a shock, no one should ever have to see something like that," Pattsi Thornbrue said Friday morning after discovering Carder's half-naked body near her home.

According to the Medical Examiner, Carder was two months pregnant and the unborn child was alive at the time of the shooting.

This was not Carder's first time trading sex for something. Carder was convicted of rape in 2010 for having sex with underage boys in exchange for drugs and alcohol in Okmulgee County.

One of the witnesses to Thursday's shooting notified police and identified Slawson as the shooter.

Court documents said Slawson has asked for counseling while in jail because he "thinks about hurting people."

He also told investigators he was not upset he killed Carder, but that he got caught and was in jail for it.
