The University of Oklahoma volleyball team hit a collective .333 in a quick 3-0 sweep over West Virginia at McCasland Field House, Saturday afternoon. The Sooners, who won their fourth straight conference game, improved to 18-4 overall and 6-2 at the midway point of the Big 12 schedule.

"It was extremely important for us to not let them back into the game after taking an early lead," said head coach Santiago Restrepo. "We needed to keep the intensity and from set-to-set that's what we kept talking about."

Oklahoma made quick work of the Mountaineers (16-7, 2-6); 25-15, 25-14 and 25-20. Despite totaling just five blocks, the Sooners held WVU to a .079 attack rate.

"We did control the front line for sure. All of our players are capable of putting on a big block and getting a lot of good deflections. I think we intimidated them a little bit and sometimes that's going to happen."

Three OU players reached double figures, led by senior middle blocker Sallie McLaurin. She hit .345 and notched a team-high three blocks. Redshirt-sophomore outside hitter Madison Ward hit a match-high .478 on 11 kills and senior outside hitter Keila Rodriguez tallied 10 kills on a .474 attack rate.

Mountaineer outside hitter Jordan Anderson led all players with 16 kills to go with three blocks.

Sophomore setter Julia Doyle collected 37 assists and six digs. Sophomore libero Taylor Migliazzo led the Sooners in digs with 12, while Anna Panagiotakopoulos registered a match-leading 13 for West Virginia.

Oklahoma returns to action at Kansas State on Wednesday, October 30. The Sooners will be back at home on November 2 to host No. 1 Texas for their "Pledge for a Cure" match at 7:00 pm.
