TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa voters elected Mayor Dewey Bartlett to a second term Tuesday. Unofficial numbers show Bartlett won the election with 55 percent of the vote. His opponent, former mayor Kathy Taylor, received 45 percent.

Mayor Bartlett visited 6 In The Morning Wednesday to talk about his victory. He says his focus in his second term will be about creating jobs for Tulsans.

Bartlett says he wasn't surprised by his margin of victory. Bartlett was first elected mayor in 2009.

Bartlett said yesterday's announcement that American Airlines and US Airways have reached a settlement with the federal government over their merger is good news for the city of Tulsa and American Airlines' jobs at Tulsa International Airport.

Bartlett says he will continue to work to decrease crime across the community.
