The search for a stolen John Deere Skid Steer leads to the discovery of a meth lab in Logan County.

An Oklahoma City man reported someone stole his Skid Steer sometime during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. On December 2, the Logan County Sheriff's Office used a GPS tracker device on the machine to track it to a residence in the 400 block of W. Simpson Road.

Deputies found that Skid Steer, plus another one reported stolen from a property in Edmond. They also located a shotgun that had been reported stolen about two years earlier, as well as numerous other items they suspected were stolen. Deputies arrested two people at the scene; Frederick Warner, 31, and Miranda Johnson, 28.

On Thursday, December 5, a burglary alarm went off at Warner's home. When deputies arrived, they found several people at the house, all who knew Warner. One man, Ronald Snowden, was arrested and the deputies began a larger overall investigation.

Deputies obtained a search warrant for a home in the 8600 block of Wishon Drive. Once there, they discovered the components used to make methamphetamine. Arrested at the scene were Lacey White, 27; Catherine Thacker, 44; Scott Hayes, 24; and Keith Reifschneider, 28. They were booked on complaints of possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office says nationwide, drug crimes and property crimes are almost always linked. Deputies say these incidents follow that trend. The sheriff's office is still investigating the case and may make more arrests.
