University of Oklahoma head men's basketball coach Lon Kruger announced Tuesday that sophomore Je'lon Hornbeak will miss approximately four to six weeks due to a broken bone in his left foot.

A 6-4, 184-pound guard from Arlington, Texas, Hornbeak sustained the injury in practice Tuesday morning. The injury will not require surgery.

Hornbeak is averaging 5.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals in 21.0 minutes per game off the bench for the 8-1 Sooners. He started 29 of 32 games last year as a freshman and averaged 5.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 22.7 minutes a contest.

"We're very disappointed for Je'lon," said Kruger. "He battled another injury to his foot in the preseason, and now this one. This will impact our team significantly while he is out."

Oklahoma's next game is Saturday at 4 p.m. CT when it hosts Tulsa at Lloyd Noble Center.
