TULSA, Oklahoma -

A Cleveland woman, a convicted felon, was arrested Friday afternoon, after police say she convinced a minor to steal a woman's purse on Brookside in Tulsa.

Lynn Marie Smith, 38, was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a controlled drug, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to the arrest report, the victim told police a female with a baton came up to her in the 3500 block of South Peoria Avenue and demanded she hand over her purse. When she refused, the victim said the robber raised the baton like she was going to hit her with it, so she dropped the purse and ran. Witnesses then told police the girl got into a car, which took off.

A little while later, the suspect came back, while police were talking with the victim. A witness pointed her out and officers confronted her, according to the arrest report.

Officers stopped the suspect vehicle, driven by Smith. Police say they found 25 blue Valium pills inside Smith's left sock. She was taken into custody.

The report shows the girl identified by the victim and witness told officers she was put up to the crime by Smith, who told her to take a large flashlight, so she had something "scary" with her. She told officers Smith told her she would "take the rap" if she got caught.

Police say the juvenile said they had returned to the scene because she had lost her cell phone.

The juvenile told police where the contents of the purse were hidden and the victim got everything back.

Police say Smith claimed she had no idea the robbery had even occurred.

Records show Smith as a history of criminal activity. She is currently serving deferred sentences on two separate cases.

She got six years of probation after she pleaded guilty to larceny and furnishing an alcoholic beverage to a person under 21 out of Pawnee County. In June 2012, Smith hosted a birthday party in her Cleveland home where minors as young as 12 years old were drinking and engaging in sexual activity. Police said she was also caught on surveillance video stealing a bottle of vodka from a liquor store.

And in May of the same year, records show Smith was charged with shoplifting from an Old Navy store in Tulsa, removing the tags from a purse and filling it with hundreds of dollars in merchandise, all in front of her teenage son. She pleaded guilty to larceny from a retailer and contributing to the delinquency of a minor in that case. Records show Smith got two years of probation for those charges.

Smith is currently being held on $57,500 bond.
