TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa Police have uncovered another murder while investigating last month's quadruple killing, according to a news release.

Charles Gustaves Johnson, 67, has been arrested for the city's 66th murder of the year after skeletal remains were uncovered this weekend and Johnson reportedly was found driving a missing man's stolen vehicle.

Police said they came across a tip while digging into the November 23 murders of Charlie Dake, 34; Melissa Dake, 35; Glenda Harper, 54; and Tammy Brunson, 46.

Those four were found dead in a converted garage in the 1300 block of North New Haven on November 23. Investigators said then the home was a known drug house and they believed the murders are related to methamphetamine dealings.

Since the quadruple murders, police and the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force actively have been interviewing known users and abusers of meth to gain information.

During that investigation officers received a tip about another possible murder. That tip led investigators to skeletal remains thought to be those of a man missing since October. Police said Johnson also was said to have been driving the missing man's vehicle with a new license plate.

Detectives discovered remains in the woods in the 500 block of East 66th Street North this weekend.

Then they stopped Johnson, who in the missing man's Buick, in the 2700 block of North Harvard Avenue and took him into custody.

"We actively had to go out and seek this information while we're trying to solve the murder of four people," Walker said. "We stumble upon a fifth and go off on that tangent and we solve that one. That's a good feeling for us to get rid of that one, but we're still strapped with the [November quadruple homicide]."

Johnson has been booked for first-degree murder and possession of a stolen vehicle, Walker said.
