Though there's no city-wide effort to collect storm debris, City of Tulsa residents can use the usual curbside service to have their downed branches collected - as long as they follow rules about bundling branches.

Crews will be collecting yard waste, storm debris and Christmas trees that are left by the curb, according to a release from the City of Tulsa. Extra personnel have been assigned to pickup duties this week, due to the high volume of material, but collection may still take up to 48 hours from regularly scheduled times.

Tree debris may be disposed by bundling limbs and branches, no more than two feet across and four feet long.

Christmas trees can also be left by the curb through January as long as they are under six feet tall and all lights, ornaments, tinsel and plastic wrap have been removed.

The green waste site, located at 10401 East 56th Street North, is open for debris disposal as well.

This site is free for Tulsa residents with a Tulsa address on his/her driver's license, or, with a City of Tulsa utility bill.

The green waste site will be closed on Wednesday, January 1st, for New Year's Day.
