MUSTANG, Oklahoma -

The year came to an end on a very high note for some seniors at Mustang High School in the form of an anonymous letter.

The track at the high school is more than just as place to run laps for Sara Wojcak. Every step she takes here is one towards a goal. She received a plain white envelope on New Year's Eve. Inside was an inspirational note.

"Your hard work is not unnoticed. Stay hungry, stay humble. Stay passionate," read Wojcak.

In addition to the letter was $455 in cash.

"I went to check the return address and there wasn't one and there wasn't a stamp on it," explained Wojcak.

She immediately called her friend Ali Sylvester.

"When she called me I was ecstatic," said Sylvester. "We haven't really stopped talking about it yet."

The two girls co-chair Relay for Life, an overnight walk raising money for cancer research and programs to help survivors and those still fighting the battle. They walked the track on New Year's Day, some three and half months before their Relay for Life event and wondered who made the donation.

"I will never know if it was someone who has lost someone to cancer or who is battling cancer or if it was a kid's Christmas money, but it means everything," said Sylvester.

Wojcak added, "We just really wanted to thank them for doing this."

Cancer has touched both the Wojcak and Sylvester families. To these girls, each donation is a step towards a cure. Last year the event raised more than $85,000 and they hope to surpass the $100,000 mark this year.
