TULSA, Oklahoma -

Light to moderate snow fell across portions of northeastern Oklahoma and southeastern Kansas late Wednesday and early Thursday.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says roads and bridges are slick across the Tulsa metro area as well as in Craig, Nowata, Osage, Ottawa and Rogers counties.

ODOT says snow across northeast Oklahoma ranges from a light dusting to close to one inch.

Sand trucks are out on state highways across the region. The City of Tulsa also had its trucks out spreading salt on bridges early Thursday.

A Tulsa driver lost control on a slick road near 55th and Riverside early Thursday.

Police say the car was headed south when the driver apparently lost control on a curve and ended up in the grass beside the road just after midnight.

Officers said the driver wasn't hurt, but it took a tow truck to remove the car from the grass.

Tulsa International Airport saw several cancellations and delays Thursday morning because of winter weather in Chicago and New York.

The airport advises travelers to check with their airline before heading to the airport.

News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says wind chill factors Thursday will be bitterly cold and in the single digits.

Crone says the weekend will be a bit warmer with very cold temperatures expected once again when school resumes Monday.
