The light snowfall from Tuesday has pretty much melted and has brought little relief to the drought that is building back over the state. The 'wind machine' is cranking back up from the south today and tomorrow. This will bring a very high fire danger threat over the state.
The south winds will increase the temperatures and the dry air in place will keep the relative humidity's desert-like. These conditions will be at their highest during the daylight hours today and tomorrow. Wednesday's threat will be very high. Thursday, we may approach extreme with the warmer temperatures.
Cloud cover and some chances for precipitation - maybe some heavy - will bring the threat lower as we go through the weekend into next week.
If you see or smell a fire or smoke developing, let your local authorities know. Wildfires will be possible.
