BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -

An Oklahoma soldier brought home a souvenir after World War Two and now, it's being shipped back to Japan.

Chip Miller said his father brought a banner home with him after the war. Miller recently gave the banner to Broken Arrow's Military History Museum, thinking they would want to display it.

The museum did a little research and found out the banner belonged to a school in Okinawa. So now, the museum is making arrangements to return it.

"For the banner to be returned back to its natural place, I think it's cool," Miller said.

The museum said the banner was created in 1932 to mark the school's 50th anniversary.
