The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant scam alert Saturday afternoon.
According to police, the suspects are contacting citizens and posing as law enforcement agents or court officials who are collecting outstanding warrants. During the phone call, the suspects are demanding victims pay off their warrants through money wires or prepaid credit cards.

The OK County Sheriff's Office said they will not ask for cash over the phone.
A similar scam alert was issued last year, and police were able to tie the scammers to Georgia inmates.
Check the OK County Court Clerk's Cost Administration for outstanding fees.
Contact your local law enforcement agency if you have been contacted by anyone attempting to collect warrant fees.
