Tecumseh public schools are closed on Monday due to the water issues the city is having.
According to a post on the city's Emergency Management Facebook page, homes and businesses have low to no water pressure.
Residents are asked to refrain from washing dishes, doing laundry, and taking showers until the water pressure is restored.
According to the Secretary for the City of Tecumseh, there was a water main leak, and the water was leaking into a creek. Crews found the leak at Highway 177 and Benson Park Road.
Just before 3 p.m., crews say they have repaired the leak. But it may take a while for pressure to build up. City officials hope pressure will be back to normal Monday night and within the next few days.
Residents are asked to boil their water once they get enough pressure to use it.
If you have questions or concerns, call Tecumseh City Hall between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday at (405)-598-2188.
