Three Small Earthquakes Recorded Around Oklahoma

GUTHRIE, Oklahoma -

More rumblings reported around the state on Friday, the strongest of the earthquakes (so far) was recorded in the Edmond/Guthrie area again.

The United States Geological Survey recorded a 3.2. magnitude quake four miles south southwest of Guthrie, 11 miles north of Edmond, or about 24 miles north of the OKC metro, around 3:40 p.m.

The epicenter of this most recent temblor was recorded at a depth of three miles.

The Guthrie quake was the third earthquake reported in Oklahoma on Friday. The first struck near the town of Medford, Okla. around 8:25 a.m. The USGS measured that quake at a 2.9 on the Richter scale.

The second earthquake of the day rattled residents near Alva, Okla. just before 9:20 a.m. That earthquake, according to the USGS, was a 2.8 magnitude.

No damage or injuries have been reported with any of Friday's earthquakes.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans.
