A house in southwest Oklahoma City was destroyed after it caught on fire early Tuesday morning.
According to the fire department, crews responded to the fire at about 5:40 a.m. at a home, located at S.W. 9th Street and Rockwood Avenue.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire. The house was a total loss.
Neighbors told fire officials that someone lived in the house. And there was a car parked in the driveway.
About 20 firefighters remained on scene to search for a possible victim. Fire officials say a dog was found dead following the fire. The tenant and another dog survived.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
