OKLAHOMA CITY -

Firefighters battled multiple fires across the Oklahoma City metro area early Wednesday morning.

According to the fire department, crews responded to the UPS facility on Portland near Interstate 40 after a semi-truck caught fire at about 2 a.m. When they got here, they found it completely engulfed in flames.

Crews knocked down the fire quickly. But they did call in hazmat crews because they weren't sure what all inside the truck was burning.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained and from spreading to the main UPS facility. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

There was also another fire overnight at the same time as the one at UPS. Crews responded to the fire at a home in 2700 block of N.W. 111th near May and Hefner Road. Everyone inside made it out safely.

The fire was contained to the inside of the home.

There were also a couple of other small grass fires overnight. The first was near N.W. 10th and Portland. It was very small, and firefighters put it out quickly.

Just after 1 a.m., another grass fire burned near N.E. 16th and Walnut. That fire was put out quickly as well.
