The United States Geological Survey has recorded three earthquakes, including one of magnitude 4.0 near Langston.
The USGS reports the 4.0 magnitude quake was recorded at 9:58 a.m. Sunday one mile south of Langston, about 35 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.
No major injuries or damage were reported.
The other quakes registered a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 and 2.7 and were recorded at 9:25 a.m. and 10:04 a.m. in the same area.
Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest that are felt by humans and that damage is not likely from quakes below magnitude 4.0.
