Police say one is dead after a car had a blowout and struck two trees while traveling eastbound on Interstate 40 in Sequoyah County.

Police say one is dead after a car had a blowout and struck two trees while traveling eastbound on Interstate 40 in Sequoyah County.

Officials say the Timothy Davis, 48, of El Reno, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained from the crash.

Davis' white 2002 Ford SUV had a blowout on the passenger front tire, then went off the road, hitting two trees, according to police. Davis was pinned and freed by Roland Fire and Rescue.

Officials say the airbag deployed and Davis was not wearing a seat belt.
