SKIATOOK, Oklahoma -

Family and friends are working to make sure a Skiatook woman and her great-granddaughter aren't forgotten. Esther Driskell was found stabbed to death in January. The next day, her 16-year-old great granddaughter, Larisa Fraley, was also found murdered.

Although Driskell's great-grandson was arrested for the murder, loved ones say they still don't have closure.

It's been three months since Driskell and Fraley were buried at the Osage Garden Cemetery, but they have no tombstones. People who loved them say it only adds to the pain.

Every time Fraley's friends and family come to the gravesite, instead of tombstones to honor her and her grandma's lives, they walk to a bed of dirt adorned with flowers.

Fraley's friend, Joleen Cryan, is the one who found Driskell dead.

"Nan was laying on the hallway floor and, like, facing down with her foot up against the wall. When I lifted it up there was like a huge pool and that's when I ran out and called 911," she said.

The next day their friend Fraley was found in a van.

Police arrested her brother, Deven Stanley, for her death. Police say Stanley told them he stabbed his grandmother over an argument about dishes.

"That is what he said it was over but I cannot believe that that's what he is pinning it on. ‘Cause I know for a fact that he would not murder his grandmother over the dishes."

Stanley is still in jail and as the family waits for Stanley's trial, and tries to heal, a family friend is working to help them buy the tombstones.

"If you look at them, the writing has faded. You can see from the rain, and sun and stuff, so there is nothing on here to let everyone know this is where she is at," Amie Ratterree said.

So Ratterree started a Facebook page and a Go Fund Me page.

"Yeah It's hard. It's really," said Higgins.

"You wanna do all that you can, but there is not much you can do," Cryan said.

Fraley would have turned 17 Monday. They say the best gift they can give her is a beautiful resting place. Meanwhile, they are praying for peace and healing.
