The United States Geological Survey reported a 3.0 magnitude earthquake in Garfield County Sunday afternoon.
At 1:53 p.m. Sunday, a quake was recorded 13 miles northeast of Enid, 40 miles southwest of Ponca City, at a depth of over one mile.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
