PORTER, Oklahoma -

Grisly clues are fueling investigators, as they hunt for a Green Country arsonist. Investigators believe someone shot a family's two dogs and a horse, then, burned their house down.

The Wagoner County Sheriff believes the person who started the fire has a grudge against the homeowners, and no one should be worried about a serial arsonist on the run.

Fire investigators are trying to figure out why someone set fire to a home just outside of Porter Tuesday morning. The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office found the homeowners' two dogs and their horse shot to death.

An agent with the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal's office believes someone intentionally set a fire near the garage.

"If this turns out to be an arson it will be a second-degree arson, it's a very serious crime," Terry Ferrel said.

Ferrel said it's hard to determine how the fire started because it happened where cars, bikes and fuels are stored.

Wagoner County Sheriff Bob Colbert has five deputies devoted to finding the arsonist.

"The city of Porter and Wagoner County, I don't think they have anything at all to worry about. We don't know this for sure, 100 percent, but everything is leading to this is a grudge that somebody had against this family," Colbert said.

Another fire happened in downtown Porter around the same time. Colbert does not believe the two fires are related.

"I think it's a personal deal what happened. I don't think anybody you know there was another fire in Porter within an hour of this fire. At this point, I talked with the Porter Fire Chief, we don't feel like there's any relationship with this fire yet," he said.

Because three animals were found dead, investigators are determined to bring this case to a close.

"That just makes me all the more want to go after and find out who did this," Ferrel.

Colbert said the animals are being autopsied.

Family members and neighbors did not want to speak with us on-camera, but said a fundraising page has been set up for them. They also said they have an account at First State Bank.
