A Tulsa Police officer was attacked by a driver and two other people after he stopped a car for a traffic violation Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred in the 1600 block of North Columbia just before 6 p.m.

After the car pulled into a driveway, the police officer asked for 21-year-old Dustin Thompson's ID. Police said three other people, Raymond Cobb, 31, Amber Thompson, 19, and a 17-year-old male juvenile came out of a nearby home and began yelling obscenities at the officer.

Police said the juvenile, Cobb and the driver then attacked the officer, kicking and punching him in the head.

A second police officer arrived on scene and had to use a Taser to arrest Dustin Thompson.

Police said the officer who was attacked suffered head injuries. He was treated at the scene by EMSA paramedics, but not taken to the hospital.

Dustin Thompson was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of aggravated assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and interfering with a police officer. Raymond Cobb was booked on complaints of aggravated assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and interfering with a police officer. Amber Thompson was booked on a complaint of obstruction. The juvenile was also arrested on an assault complaint.

Jail records show Dustin Thompson was being held in lieu of $16,000 bond and Raymond Cobb was being held in lieu of $31,000 bond.
