A small earthquake shook near the town of Enid, Tuesday morning.

The quake struck just before 9:30 a.m. and weighed in at a 3.1 on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was located 11 miles north, northeast of Enid, or about 77 miles north of the Oklahoma City metro area, at a depth of about one and a half miles.

No damage or injuries have been reported with this earthquake.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
