Children Injured After School Bus Crashes In Norman

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

Emergency crews are responding to an accident involving a school bus near the campus of the University of Oklahoma, Wednesday afternoon.

First responders were dispatched to the scene, near College Ave. and Lindsey St.

Authorities say the bus belonged to Norman Public Schools and was being rented by the Cleveland County YMCA.

It is unclear at this time how many vehicles are involved, but authorities say 12 children were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police have closed a portion of Lindsey St., between Chautauqua Ave. and College Ave., while crews work to clear the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
