The United States Geological Survey reported two earthquakes in Oklahoma Thursday afternoon.
The first was a 3.2 magnitude earthquake, recorded around 3:14 p.m., two miles south southwest of Perkins and 11 miles south of Stillwater. The depth was over three miles.
Then at 3:24 p.m., a 3.0 magnitude quake was recorded 16 miles east of Cherokee and 26 miles north northwest of Enid, at a depth of over one mile.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
