A 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Helena, Okla., early Monday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake was recorded at 2:44 a.m. Its epicenter was located 13 miles northeast of Helena, 22 miles north, northwest of Enid, and 89 miles north, northwest of Oklahoma City.
It was about seven miles deep.
Another earthquake was recorded in southern Oklahoma around 9:30 a.m. The second quake struck six miles south, southwest of Wilson, Okla.
The USGS recorded the second earthquake at a 3.2 on the Richter scale, or approximately 96 miles south of the OKC metro, at a depth of about four and a half miles.
No injuries or damage were immediately reported following either earthquake.
