Fire forced residents of a Tulsa apartment building out of their homes Tuesday night.
The Tulsa Fire Department was sent to the building in the 2500 block of East 7th Street just before midnight. As firefighters arrived, flames were coming from a second floor apartment.
Resident Robert Ray shot video and photos with his cellphone after getting out.
Firefighters knocked down the fire quickly. They say three upstairs apartments were damaged with one a total loss. Three apartments on the first floor sustained smoke and water damage.
“I woke up to everybody yelling fire, beating on the door. Everybody was running down," according to Jeff Heathcott, resident.
Firefighters said several people were home when the fire broke out, but no one was injured. They said investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire.
