TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa police have responded to crash involving pedestrians and a vehicle at East 36th Street North and North Peoria.

The two sustained only minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital.

A woman and a child were walking in a crosswalk before 8 a.m. on Wednesday on the way to Hawthorne Elementary School, TPD said. The driver of the vehicle said he was blinded by the sun and didn't see them.

The city said the buttons were not working on the crosswalk signal and they are in the process of fixing the problem.
