A 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Cherokee, Oklahoma, Friday afternoon.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, this earthquake was recorded at 2:23 p.m. Its epicenter was located eight miles northeast of Cherokee and 35 miles north, northwest of Enid.
It was about two miles deep.
