A Union High School sophomore is giving back to a place that had a big impact on his life.

Connor Prag is building a bridge at Global Gardens to make the gardens accessible to people using wheelchairs.

Prag was in the Global Gardens program for five years in elementary and middle school. He's also a Boy Scout and using this as his community project toward his rank as Eagle Scout.

He enlisted the help of friends, family and fellow scouts to get the bridge built.

"You have to do a project to help the community to become an Eagle Scout. So, you kind of just look around and you have to raise all of your funds by yourself," said Prag.

Global Gardens partners with local schools to teach children about gardening, science, health and the environment.
