The Langston Police Department has asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for assistance in connection with a shooting early Saturday on the campus of Langston University.

The OSBI says Cameron DeShawn Hishaw, 22, was shot in the upper leg during a physical altercation in the parking lot of the Scholar's Inn apartments on Hillview Drive at about 1:30 a.m.

Hishaw, who the OSBI says was not a Langston University student, was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital for they said was a non-life threatening wound.

OSBI agents spent the weekend gathering evidence at the shooting scene.

If anyone has information about the shooting, they are asked to call the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017 or the Langston Police Department.
