News On 6's WARN Team is tracking a cold front headed to eastern Oklahoma. The front is expected to bring a chance for some showers and storms and much cooler air according to News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone.

Crone says as the front arrives Monday evening, showers are expected to develop along either side of I-44 from Oklahoma City to Joplin. Those showers could develop just after 6 p.m. as the front moves into southeast Oklahoma.

Crone says the chances for severe weather are low, but some storms could pop up Monday evening producing gusty winds, heavy rain and maybe some small hail.

After the front passes, Crone says cooler air will replace the warmer air with another cool down expected Thursday into the weekend.

Temperatures by Tuesday morning across eastern Oklahoma will be in the lower 50's with a high barely reaching 70 by Tuesday afternoon.
