A Green County woman is wanted after not showing up for court Monday.

It's an unusual domestic violence case because the woman is accused of beating her husband.

Rogers County prosecutors charged Leighann Hughes with assault and maiming. She pled no contest and was supposed to learn her sentence in court on Monday, but she skipped out

There's now a warrant out for her arrest.

Records show Hughes stabbed her husband in the stomach and also burned him on each arm with a hot curling iron.

He said after she stabbed him, she made him clean up the blood before she would clean and dress his wound.

She wanted him to apologize, naked and on his knees, he said.

According to Hughes' husband, she once took a bowl and placed it 10 miles from their home and made him walk to get it.

He said she threatened to kill him more times than he can count and he's afraid she'll still do it.

He said he endured the abuse for the sake of their daughter, that Hughes isolated him from his family and friends and took control of their finances.

Hughes denies all of it and said he's making up the stories so he can avoid paying child support.

When asked about his stab wound and burns, she told police, he could've gotten the injuries at work.

The pre-sentence report recommends she get some prison time followed by time on probation.

Once they find her, they can sentence her.
