TULSA COUNTY, Oklahoma - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a man was hurt when he crashed his car into a tree near Sperry Friday morning.

Troopers said the crash happened at 4:43 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 11 and 106th Street North.

The OHP says Willie Carruthers, 37, of Sperry was southbound on Highway 11 in a 2004 Mazda when the car left the road and hit a tree. The report said Carruthers was not wearing his seat belt.

Troopers said Carruthers suffered a head injury.
