Lightning Delays Kickoff Of OU-Kansas Football Game

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

Lightning in the Norman area forced the delay of the start of the football game between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Kansas Jayhawks.

The OU athletics department said the game will not begin any earlier than 12:30 p.m. It got underway about that time.

The game was originally scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.

The Sooners beat Texas Tech last week and come into the game at 7-3, ranked number 23. The Jayhawks are 3-7 after giving TCU a scare last week in a 34-30 loss.
