MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -

Two Muskogee businessmen have donated additional funds to raise the reward in a home invasion that left an elderly woman injured. The reward now totals $3,000 for information leading to the arrest of the men responsible for the crime.

The thieves twice targeted 83-year-old Joy Vogel's home, pistol-whipping her during one robbery. Police say because she is hard of hearing, she did not comply quickly enough with a man's request so he attacked her.

Anonymous donors have helped Vogel with the loss of her cash and by purchasing new hearing aids to replace those stolen in the home invasions.

Security Alarms and the Muskogee Fraternal Order of Police also came to her aid, replacing her back door and installing an alarm system with free monitoring.

Police say the intruder who pistol-whipped Vogel is described as a possible black male, about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a ski mask and gray hooded sweatshirt.

The other two men were wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts with their heads and faces covered by the hoods. They drove away in an older, rust-colored truck with two other men.

If you know anything that can help police track them down, call Muskogee Crime Stoppers at 918-582-COPS.
