A powerful storm system is moving into eastern Oklahoma with a slight risk of severe weather.

"For many of us, it'll just be a good rain with perhaps a few gusts of wind and claps of thunder," Grogan said in his weather blog. The most likely threats from these storms with be gusty winds and hail, according to WARN Team meteorologist Mike Grogan.

"Just remember, even in December, we need to be prepared to take severe weather precautions when necessary."

A second line of storms may develop behind the leading line Sunday evening, offering another chance of heavy downpours. A half inch to an inch of rain is expected, Grogan said.

Some colder air will be behind the system but is only expected to return temperatures to near normal levels on Monday - with highs in the upper 40s and lows around or just below freezing that morning.

Though it's still almost two weeks away, Grogan said the chances of a White Christmas are very low.

"Lots can change though, so stay tuned," he said.
