An earthquake shook up residents near the town of Perry, Okla., in Noble County, just after 5 p.m. Christmas Day.
The 3.7 magnitude earthquake struck at approximately 5:11 p.m.
Its epicenter was located 13 miles east northeast of Perry, 17 miles north of Stillwater, and about 66 miles north northeast of the Oklahoma City metro, at a depth of about two miles.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries associated with this earthquake.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes 4.0 and higher.
