TULSA, Oklahoma - Tulsa police said a man needed surgery on Thursday morning after being shot in the face while driving.

First responders rushed to the 21600 block of East 11th Street after reports of an injury accident around 3:30 a.m.

Vehicle occupants claimed people they didn't know fired on them from two other vehicles, according to police.

The driver of the wrecked car was shot in the face and needed surgery, and the passenger also was transported to the hospital, police said.
